a little spooky

i love october. i love halloween. i love the color orange. what could be better than to celebrate all of this by decking the house in spooky attire. happy hauntings! oh, and feel free to swing on by to the spooky villa sabatini . we have treats on hand... all month long!
ps. the silhouettes are of andrew and georgia - i worked on them instead of cleaning - much more gratifying

andrew

last night i sat in andrew's favorite chair in the office, pulled up his favorite nana day made quilt and snuggled in to watch a few minutes of hgtv before bed. i had to laugh, the blanket and the chair smelled just like my little boy. so, i pulled the blanket closer to my nose and watched as the stagers took over yet another home. (i would so be great at that!)

seriously mom?

it was cold outside today. ok, not snow cold but vegas cold. georgia, eric and andrew were all outside adding to our spooky halloween decor having a blast. mom came home, dressed georgia in a sweater and put these darling leg warmers on her blue little leggies. she hated them. she screamed, she hollered. i bribed her with chocolate. didn't work. "i no like dem" and she showed me her offensive accessory. i couldn't help it. she had the saddest little face, i took a few pics, and finally ended her suffering by removing said leg warmers and put on her new boots daddy bought for her yesterday. she said "dandou mommy" and skipped out the door. drama? here we come. so, if you are interested in some seriously cute almost worn leg warmers, let me know. i have a pink pair and a pink with flowers pair.

enjoy the moment

so i woke up this morning and rolled over onto thomas the tank engine. thanks georgia. then i walked downstairs to see (or not to see) my floor covered in puzzle pieces and everything georgia had been collecting in a shopping bag for a week, scattered. don't forget every blanket we own and the vacuum too. thanks andrew. (he was looking for something apparently) i'm trying to take president monson's advice to heart. i'm trying to remember to enjoy the moment. my kids are just making it difficult! eric (in agreement with our prophet) says that's the point, enjoy the messes, enjoy thomas the tank engine in your ribs in the morning, and don't be too hasty to wipe orange chip fingerprints off of everything. hmmm. this may take a while to get used to but these kids of mine are so dang cute, especially when they are snug in their beds fast asleep, i think i'll try it out.

here's my first try:

i'm thankful to be a mom

i'm thankful my almost 6 year old still let me snuggle him today

i'm loving that my little girl sings "annie" on call and makes everyone giggle

and i guess i love some of the mess because that means they're having a fabulous time

what's for dinner

soccer ran late, mom was tired, everyone was thrilled with dinner. mom went to bed happy. so did the kids, after the sugar wore off, that is.
