i am all for organic. my recycling bins run over... every week! i am all for buying local, decreasing our ecological footprint, and i have even started using the crazy light bulbs that glow strange greenish colors. and, from time to time you will even see the thermostat at my house set to 78 BUT... i do not like organic broccoli and count me out on the lettuce as well. there is something to be said about the creepy crawlies. it reminds me of living in brazil where we had to soak our fruits and veggies in chemicals before we could eat them and seeing all the creepy crawlies come to the surface! yuck! isn't that funny... in brazil we were more afraid of eating what was on the "organic" stuff than eating the remnants of the chemicals we cleaned them with. hmmm. so, if i ever come to your home, please no organic broccoli or lettuce, i just don't need the extra protein!(yes, i made it for dinner tonight, and no, after seeing the floating bugs in the water after the cooking i couldn't stomach it. i know, i have bug phobia, i'm dealing)
